I’m on a roll

I’m proofing like a madwoman today, taking advantage of the last few days of having my husband around.  Some new favorites from their...

refreshing

I just realized I’ve been holding onto some bluebonnet session photos for too long now.  Looking back over these is so refreshing; remembering the cooler weather, the storm clouds that were about to roll in… Spring is such a short and sweet season here in Texas.  I can’t believe it’s already gone!  I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this sweet family’s return back to Texas this spring by photographing them in the bluebonnets.  Kerry, your family is absolutely lovely and your oldest’s eyelashes are definitely to die for. This little man had...

to tide you over

I am saving up some bluebonnet portrait posts for when the summer hits (if it hasn’t already, that is) and I have been busy, honestly, but I can’t show you until November.  Something about, well, that the magazine actually needs to be published before I can show you, you know, the magazine.  Press is silly like that. So for the time being, enjoy some quick pictures I caught of my two oldest boys this afternoon with a new lens.  I think I can say that I’m pleased with it.  I had a big debate on whether to get an off-brand zoom or a canon brand prime.  I’m glad I...

Tiptoe through the . . . bluebonnets

Jessica is the sweetest person. I’ve had the honor of watching her grow as person on so many levels… from her profession to wife to mother and I have to say that she is fabulous on all levels. Not only does she have the cutest 2 year old ever, but she has a great sense of self and always has a smile to share with others. This sweet family has a wedding to go to on the actual day of my mini sessions, so we went ahead and had them early. I hope you enjoy the quick peek at what we captured that morning in the field of beautiful...

There’s still room!

I’ve hunted the best bluebonnet patches around (at least, in Austin!!) and found some that I just love. My camera, footstool, and I are ready for you! I still have three openings for bluebonnet portrait mini sessions here in Austin! I will be in the North Texas Area on April 17th and have as many as six or seven spots to fill. I might not be in “Dallas” Dallas if just my sister-in-law is interested since we can meet just about anywhere there is a beautiful scenic patch of bluebonnets, but otherwise I will try to stick close to the Plano/Dallas side of DFW as possible to...

knights and fairies, but mostly fairies

I had a delightful afternoon! It was full of this: and a little bit of this! I cannot wait to post a full run-down (with my favorite pictures!) and my take on the event, but it will have to wait until the purpose for this lovely afternoon to reveal itself elsewhere first. So for now, wipe that drool off your screen. I know those cupcakes look...
