is it official if you aren’t given credit?

I’m published.  Upper left.  Turquoise background.  Yeah, that one.  I can’t post a screenshot or anything without violating ENVY’s Terms of Use, but I can link to it in a new window, so there ya go. I mean.  Sort of.  There’s no credit to my name but I have the .cr2 file to prove it. How do you top your very first practice session, ever, ending up in a national magazine?  I mean, wow. I was contacted by Beth and her session was the first practice session I shot back in August.  I gave her rights to the photos and they turned up in her magazine.  So far,...

about those 404 error messages…

Just a quick note that I’m seeing a lot of incoming clicks from emails to old proofing pages on my web tracker.  I take down proof galleries two weeks after I email you the link so if you’re emailing them out to friends and family and they cannot find the pictures, that would be why.  In addition, I completely relocated my website to a new server and did not transfer over any information from the old site, so old download links for practice sessions (which expire a week after I sent out the email) are completely gone.  Please contact me if you had a practice session and need to...

where I’ve been

She was on board as the photographer but the bride and groom switched the date from a Saturday to a Sunday and she was no longer available to cover their wedding. With my in-laws able to watch and babysit my three very young sons, I was able to drive up to Fort Worth and cover the wedding for Crissy. Here are just a few off of the first memory card I’ve copied. I will do a full wedding post at a later date once I get all of the photos copied. Ryan and Elena,...

what texans call snow

I’ve heard it called “sky dandruff” and I think that is appropriate.  Laugh if you will… I certainly am!  It lasted all of 5 minutes then the sun came out.  The forecasters made such a big deal out of it but all we got was a touch.  I’m secretly hoping for a downpour of fluffy white stuff but only today.  Tomorrow I am driving to Plano (after a morning session) with my three very little boys (without my hubby and the van’s radio, cd player and clock are all dead!) so I’d really like the roads to be clear for our trip.  Here’s hoping for a...
