behind the scenes

I’ve been busy setting up the business end of things and, let me tell you, it’s both fun and frightening at the same time.  Today I set up a business account and I am all set to take all major credit cards, cash, checks, and even paypal.  The easiest part of setting up my business, believe it or not, was getting my sales tax permit from the state of Texas.  You’d think that would be the hardest thing but it was so simple and completely online. I’d have to say that the hardest part was opening the bank account and that was only because I couldn’t find my social security card.  I went to the office and requested a replacement and, of course, the day after I get the replacement in the mail, I find the first one.  Go figure.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be putting together promo cards for the products and packages that I’ll be offering as well as trying to stay caught up on my editing of practice sessions, but I’ll be honest with you… it might take me a little longer to get those edited and blogged than it took me in August.  My poor house is falling apart inside because of all the stuff I’ve been doing for Jen Barnes Photo ready for a 01-01-10 launch on the legal end of things.

I mean business and it’s so exciting!  I’ve dreamed of this for so many years… it really is a dream come true!  Won’t you join me for this wild ride?  I’d love the company.
